Bayern Munich halts defender's transfer following Bundesliga win
FootballKylian Mbappe: Real Madrid Plans 2024 Summer Operation for PSG Forward
- The 2023 summer transfer window came to a close with Real Madrid again missing out on Kylian Mbappe
- The La Liga giant heads into the new season without an arrowhead
- Real Madrid will now prioritise signing the PSG forward in the summer of 2024
A long summer that witnessed the departure of four of Carlo Ancelotti’s forwards, including captain Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio, ended in relative despair for many Madridstas as the club, for the sixth season, failed to get over the line the signing of the highly coveted Kylian Mbappe.
The transfer of Mbappe once again heralded the summer window of Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain after the 24-year-old sent a letter in June stating his desire not to extend his stay at the French club beyond the summer of 2024.
However, a deal seemed unlikely following The Athletic report earlier in August the forward had reached an agreement with PSG to forfeit his bonuses and a few other perks attached to his contract, which eventually saw him reinstated into the club’s first team fold having been left out due to his contract debacle.
Los Blancos will now plan again to sign their eternal transfer target in the summer of 2024.
Real Madrid to sign Mbappe in 2024?
The La Liga giant may have missed out on Mbappe this summer; however, their intent remains clear as, for the first time in its123 year history, the Madrid-based club heads into a season without a name on the number nine jersey, which many have speculated remains reserved for Mbappe.
Nonetheless, despite the apparent lack of depth in Madrid’s attack, fans of the club would go into the new season hanging on the thin thread of hope reported by Relevo that the club will be looking to secure the signature of the French captain as early as January 2024.
The hopes of securing Mbappe on a free next transfer window are bolstered by the fact the forward recently turned down PSG’s latest contract offering following his reinstatement into the first team.
