Senegalese international Sadio Mane has drawn a lot of reactions from fans after being involved in a furious altercation with Brazilian defender Iago Santos during Al-Nassr's 4-0 win over Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.
Mane scored a brace alongside former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the game but was involved in a moment of madness in the game after he was tackled by Santos.
Both players were exchanging words and pushing each other, but were separated by the linesman, which stopped the issue from escalating.
According to Sportskeeda, the former Bayern Munich winger's altercation with Santos surprised many football fans, as the Senegalese is known for his calmness during his time with Liverpool, and Southampton in the English Premier League.
Since Mane left Liverpool in 2022, this is the second time he has been involved in an altercation.
The former Southampton winger reportedly punched Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane in the dressing room after their game against Manchester City in the quarter-final stage of the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League.
Mane was fined and suspended for his actions towards his teammate, before eventually leaving the Bavarians for Al-Nassr this summer.
Here are some reactions from fans over Mane's altercation with Santos.
Mane Shoves Ronaldo For Acting Like Coach
Sportsbrief previously reported the camaraderie between Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the game against Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab.
Both players received a well-deserved rest from head coach Luis Castro, with the Senegalese substituted in the 81st minute and the Portuguese in the 86th, having played four matches in a space of 11 days.
During their time on the substitutes' bench, the 31-year-old and his captain enjoyed a light-hearted moment. Ronaldo, who seems to possess coaching instincts, was seen giving instructions to his teammates on the pitch. Mane found this amusing and playfully nudged his captain closer to the technical area to ensure he could be heard.
