Transfer deadline day continues to get more exciting for Barcelona and its fans of the club following reports of the club reaching agreements for transfer targets Joan Cancelo and Joao Felix.

Despite the club’s yet to announce any of these transfers officially, the recent news emanating from the camp of defender Cancelo appears to be a much-needed boost ahead of the 23:59 deadline for the close of the transfer.

The defender whom Bayern early in the window opted out of the chance to sign has now reemerged as a transfer option for the Bavarian following the sale of Benjamin Pavard to Inter.

However, the defender appears to have no interest in returning to the German champions, as German journalist Christian Falk indicated. This news comes as a relief to Barcelona, considering their financial struggles and their inability to compete with other top European clubs in the transfer market.

The Catalan club will now look to speed up the transfer for the 29-year-old defender. Reports are already swirling that Cancelo’s shirt has also been prepared, with his arrival only a matter of time now.

The proposed deal for the defender is expected to be a loan arrangement without an option to buy. Additionally, Barcelona Universal has reported that La Liga has granted the Spanish club a special allowance to register the defender despite their Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns.

Barcelona reach an agreement for Felix

Sports Brief in a previous report, stated that Spanish powerhouse Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign the 23-year-old Portuguese forward Joao Felix from rivals Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan.

Felix who has not had the best of spells since completing his record transfer from Benfica to the Civitas Metropolitano earlier in August, declared his desire to play for the Blaugrana, as reported by Goal.
