Chelsea star Raheem Sterling has made his first public statement since he was left out of the England national team squad for the September qualifiers.
Sterling has not played for the national team since the World Cup after leaving Qatar to check on his family, who were burgled in England and valuables carted away.
He missed the March international break due to an injury sustained in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 game against Borussia Dortmund. He was again overlooked for the end-of-season games.
He is in fine form for Chelsea and scored two goals in the 3-0 win over newly-promoted Luton Town.

FootballThe 28-year-old has shown no signs of sulking as he resumed training with Mauricio Pochettino's team ahead of the weekend's game against Nottingham Forest.
He took to his Twitter page and shared photos from training, one with Pochettino and the other showing him spotting a new hairstyle.
Head coach Gareth Southgate detailed his phone conversation with the former Manchester City forward, informing him of his decision, as reported by The Independent.
“A difficult call, and Raheem was not particularly happy about it,” the manager said.
“Raheem is always really respectful with how he responds and deals [with things], he will always say ‘I respect your decision’ but of course, he wants to get back in the group,” he added.
The Three Lions will travel to Ukraine and Scotland for games five and six of their Euro 2024 qualifying series.
