Barcelona’s new signing, Oriol Romeu has slotted into Xavi Hernandez’s reformed midfield seamlessly.
The former Girona midfielder has made light work of the demands and responsibilities of replacing former midfielder and captain, Sergio Busquets.
Romeu, now an undisputed starter for Barcelona, is reported to be one who fancies a lifestyle away from the spotlights. However, the former Southampton star has never failed to recognise his roots when given the chance to.
The Barcelona star, who grew up in Ulldecona, recently attended a festival in his native town in the East of Barcelona for their traditional Terres del Ebre festival (Lands of the Ebro, a river).

FootballRomeu, who attended the event alongside Girona’s midfielder Aleix Garcia, as reported by RAC1, surprised many with his attire and hilarious dancing.
The Barcelona academy graduate donned a farming costume for the event and participated in the traditional ‘Dance of the Shawls’ in his village's main square.
As posted by El Nacional Cat on Twitter, the midfielder thrilled the locals with his dance moves.
The former Girona man, who also won the UEFA Champions League with Premier League giants Chelsea, will now be looking to shift his attention from the festival to Barcelona’s next La Liga game away to Osasuna at El Sadar.
The midfielder will also fancy his chances of getting his first goal for his new club since his reported ₤5 million cross-city transfer.
In a previous report, Sports Brief stated how the transfer deadline day could unfold at La Liga giants Barcelona.
Having had a relatively quiet summer transfer window due to their precarious financial situation, the club now looks set to complete the transfers of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. They could also seal the departures of La Masia graduates Ansu Fati to Brighton and Hove Albion and Abde Ezzalzouli to Real Betis.
