Bayern Munich have been drawn alongside Manchester United, FC Copenhagen, and Galatasaray in Group A as the Bavarians kickstart their campaign for another European trophy.

According to Metro UK, the German and English sides are the clear favourites to progress to the knockout stages, but Muller is excited about the high-profile clash between the heavyweights.

Muller has won the Champions League twice with Bayern Munich, and the German international will be hoping to add another UCL medal to his extensive trophy collection.

Bayern push for 7th UCL title

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have been tagged as one of the favourites to lift their seventh Champions League crown after the 2023/24 season draws were conducted, SB Nation reports.

The Bundesliga giants last won the competition in 2020 after they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final thanks to a Kingsley Coman goal.

Bayern will be facing Galatasaray in the Champions League for the first time since the 1972/73 season, while they’ve also not met Copenhagen since the 1991/92 season. Manchester United are the fourth team drawn in Group A.

Muller enjoys Harry Kane's company

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Harry Kane started his Bayern Munich career with a bang after netting three goals in his first two Bundesliga games for the German club, much to the delight of teammate Thomas Muller.

The 30-year-old was the star of the show as the Bavarians white-washed Werder Bremen 4-0. He also hit a brace in the 3-1 victory against Augsburg at the Allianz Arena.

After the victory against Bremen, Kane and Muller could be seen sharing a special connection, something similar to what he enjoyed with Heung Min Son at Tottenham.
