Philippe Coutinho’s second spell in the Premier League has undoubtedly not gone to plan as scripted by many.
The Brazilian midfielder, who was met with a rapturous return following his disappointing spell at La Liga giants Barcelona, was quick to light up the stage with impressive goals and immense contributions to the Clarets under Steven Gerard.
However, his purple patch soon came to an end following the sacking of Gerrard and the appointment of current coach Unai Emery.
The former Inter Milan prodigy found his game time drastically limited and his attempts to win the trust of his new manager were marred by the endless injuries he sustained.
Following the signings of Moussa Diaby and Nicolo Zaniolo, the 31-year-old has found his time on the field of play drastically limited.
Coutinho has so far featured for a total of 24 minutes in Aston Villa’s three Premier League games this season; hence the talks of a departure for the attacker have resurfaced.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder could join the list of European stars moving to the Middle East with reports stating both parties already agreed to personal terms.
Coutinho who is believed to fancy the new adventure in Qatar, will hope both clubs can agree on a fee as the European transfer window draws to a close.
