  • Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson has completed a permanent move to Crystal Palace
  • The Red Devils are targeting more departures as they seem to raise funds for incomings
  • Fiorentina midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat is at the top of the priority list for Erik ten Hag

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has completed a permanent switch to Premier League side Crystal Palace for an initial £15m plus £5m in add-ons.

The academy graduate, once touted as David de Gea's successor, left the club in search of first-team football after discussions with head coach Erik ten Hag.

He will not be the only departure as the transfer deadline approaches and as United try to raise funds for the signing of priority target Sofyan Amrabat.

Sports Brief looks at five players who could follow him out of Old Trafford.

1. Donny van de Beek

The Dutch midfielder joined United in 2020 from Ajax, having starred in ten Hag's Champions League semi-finalist squad of 2019. He scored on his debut in the 3-1 loss against Crystal Palace. He has struggled to nail down a spot due to poor form and injuries. As reported by Football Transfers, Galatasaray is a potential destination.

2. Scott McTominay

The Scottish international could also be set for a departure from his boyhood club if the signing of Amrabat is completed. United had previously rejected an offer from West Ham for the 26-year-old worth £30m, but are now open to letting him go.

3. Amad Diallo

The Ivorian winger's future hangs in the balance. After a brilliant loan at Sunderland, ten Hag was said to be considering him for a spot in the team, primarily to compete with Antony. According to The Athletic, an injury suffered in pre-season has thwarted the possibility of a move away.

4. Hannibal Mejbri

The Tunisian could find himself on the way out yet again in search of regular first-team football after spending last season on loan at Championship side Birmingham City. According to Mirror UK, Sevilla are interested in the player, who has been capped 24 times by his country.

5. Harry Maguire

The former skipper rejected a move to West Ham despite both clubs agreeing on a fee of £30m. He was said to be asking for a massive payoff before leaving. He now wants to leave on loan after falling further down the pecking order, but an injury to Raphael Varane could be a stumbling block.

De Gea trains solo

Sports Brief reported that David de Gea is training alone as his search for a new club continues after he left Manchester United upon the expiration of his contract.

He has been overlooked by top clubs Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, while he has turned down an offer from Inter Milan to replace his successor, Andre Onana.
