Highly-rated Ghanaian teen, Abdul Fatawu Isshaku has completed his loan move to former English Premier League champions Leicester City.
The 19-year-old joins the Foxes from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan as he continues his development.
Issahaku, who moved to Sporting Lisbon in 2022, will join his new teammates at the King Power stadium after he gets league and international clearance.
"Leicester City Football Club can confirm the signing of Abdul Fatawu, with the winger joining on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon, subject to league and international clearance," wrote Leicester City on their official website.
Meanwhile, Issahaku believes Leicester City is the best place for him to continue his journey as a footballer.
“I’m so happy. This is an amazing moment for me, I’m happy to be here. For me, from looking at Leicester and how I felt about the coach, here is the best place for me," he said, as quoted by lcfc.com.
“This was the best moment for me to join Leicester. I chose them because I think they can grow me and help me mature. [Enzo Maresca] told me about the plans he has for me and how he wants me to play – how he wants to help me in my football.”
The 14 times capped Ghana international has enormous experience on the international stage, playing for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, as reported by graphic.com.
The youngster was also player of the tournament when Ghana won the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania in 2021.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teenager, Abdul Fatawu Isshaku netted a sensational goal as the Black Meteors earned a 1-1 draw in the Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers on Friday night.
The 19-year-old netted a belter after firing from inside his half to give the Ghana U23 team a deserving lead in Annaba.
However, Algeria left it late after netting an injury time penalty to level the scores ahead of the second-leg in Kumasi on Tuesday.
