The French midfielder’s ability to fit perfectly into numerous positions at Real Madrid has seen his playing time at the Spanish capital significantly increase compared to a few other midfielders at the club.
Camavinga joined the Spanish giants from Rennes at the end of the 2021 summer window and has matured into one of Europe’s most-priced youngsters.
The Champions League winner’s versatility has continued to generate reactions from various clubs across Europe, and the latest to troll the midfielder is Russian Club Zenit St. Petersburg.
Zenit trolls Camavinga
The Russian Premier League club, who secured a 4-0 victory against rivals Ural on Saturday, saw their third goal on the night scored in quite some style following a comical error from Ural’s goalkeeper, Ilya Pomazun.
The 27-year-old Pomazun, after holding on to a back pass for a moment, wrongly laid the ball off to Zenit's lurking attacker Claudinho.
The 26-year-old Brazilian, in a cheeky manner, dinked the ball past the goalkeeper, who was visably off his goal line, to increase Zenit’s lead to three at the time in the game.
The Russian club, spotting the humour in the event that unfolded, took to TikTok to dub the inadvertent help from Pomazun as the Camavinga effect and even titled the video “Thank you, Camavinga.”
Zenit are not the first team to troll the young French midfielder for his versatility, as their trolling comes just a few days after Serie A giants, Juventus, took to TikTok to taunt the Real Madrid star.
