FootballPhoto of Dressing Room Ronaldo and Al Nassr Had to Use Goes Viral
- Saudi Arabia has invested a substantial amount into its football in recent times
- Not all teams in the Saudi Pro League possess all the modern bells and whistles
- Cristiano Ronaldo learned this firsthand when Al-Nassr visited Al-Fateh recently
A photo of the dressing room Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates had to use for their league game last Friday has begun to circulate online.
The Portuguese star guided his team to a resounding 5-0 triumph against Al-Fateh on August 25, scoring a hat-trick and delivering a delightful backheel assist for one of Sadio Mane's two goals.
As reported by Daily Star, Al-Fateh do not enjoy the same level of financial support as many of its Saudi Pro League rivals, which includes the four clubs owned by the nation's well-funded Public Investment Fund: Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad.
This disparity was evident in their away dressing room, which consisted of a plain room furnished with basic chairs, serving as the space where Ronaldo and his teammates' kits were set up.
In an image circulated on social media, per SportBible, the Al-Nassr kit appeared to have been casually placed atop each chair, reminiscent of scenes often witnessed in Sunday League football.

Meanwhile, the Sun reported that football enthusiasts on social media promptly noticed that Ronaldo's own dressing room was in stark contrast to the facilities at Al-Fateh.
The home dressing room at Al-Awwal Park for the home team in Riyadh boasts ample space, featuring luxurious seating and adorned with elegant wall and ceiling designs.
Why players are moving to Saudi
Michael Emenalo, who is now the Saudi Pro League's Director of Football, has stated emphatically that footballers are not moving to the Middle East for only financial incentives but to define their legacies.

FootballAs Sports Brief previously reported, the oil-rich country's top flight is becoming a Mecca of football and has seen many top stars from European leagues switching their club allegiance to the Middle East.
Many fans seem to believe that players are moving to Saudi Arabia to simply earn top dollar in a lower-tier competition. However, Emenalo has stated the Pro League is not only about the money.
