The debate on who is the best Premier League holding midfielder has become intense in recent weeks, with fans and pundits divided on who is better.
Casemiro, Thomas Partey, and Rodri are among the top names that have often been floated, with many seemingly not agreeing on who the better player is.
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is the latest player to delve into the unending debate, with the Ukrainian naming his pick in the midfield battle.
According to the former Manchester City ace, the crown belongs to Partey, who he hailed not only as the Premier League's most underrated player but also the best holding midfielder he’s ever played with.
The Mirror reports that Zinchenko was asked to name the better midfielder among the trio and said:
"I don't want to say something bad. Casemiro is a world class player, five Champions Leagues. But if I had to choose, it would be Partey."
"I had the debate in my head, who is the best holding midfielder I have ever played with - it was between Fernandinho, Rodri and Partey. It is a tough one. I watched Fernandinho when he was at Shakhtar and he helped me so much. I love him like an older brother," he continued.
