Former West Ham United defender, Anton Ferdinand, has expressed delight in the signing of Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
The Black Stars midfielder joined the Hammers on a five-year deal from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in the summer transfer window.
Anton, the younger brother of Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, met Kudus after his unveiling at the London Olympic Stadium.
The 38-year-old, who spent five years at West Ham during the early days of his career, advised Kudus to always put the badge first.
"I think your honesty you showed in that interview is something that our fans here will love in you as a footballer. I think any new player who comes to this fantastic football club should know that, you work hard first, you play second, which sounds like you, you work hard, play second and you will entertain the fans and when you do that the fans will love you forever," he told Kudus during a West Ham podcast.
While encouraging the 23-year-old to give his best to the club, Ferdinand also took to social media to welcome the former FC Nordsjaelland star.

Kudus is expected to start training with the club ahead of Friday's English Premier League game against Luton Town.
Kudus flies family to London
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Kudus flew his mother, brother and uncle to London for his unveiling as a new West Ham United player.
The 23-year-old joined the Hammers on a five-year deal from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in the summer transfer window, following an outstanding spell in the Eredivisie.
The Ghana international made sure his family were there to witness his dream move to the English Premier League.
