The South African youngster could soon be making a name for himself on the big stage.
As noted by Soccer Laduma, Mamelodi Sundowns are considering promoting the 15-year-old to the first team.
Sibiya was recently named Defender of the Tournament at the Gauteng Engen Challenge and has represented South Africa at the under-17 level.
With the defender turning heads, Masandawana are looking at the possibility of moving him up to the first squad, but are concerned about his school career as well.
“At first, they didn’t want to rush him because of school commitments, but his talents cannot be ignored. He will be part of both the senior team and the DStv Diski Challenge team so that he is given proper guidance and chances to integrate into the big league,” a source told the publication.
While many may find it strange for a 15-year-old to be playing professional football, the phenomenon is not a strange one in Europe.
