FootballPaul Pogba Breaks Silence After Making Return to Juventus After Months Out With Injury
- Paul Pogba finally made a return to football action for Juventus on Sunday
- The Bianconeri had to come from behind to salvage a draw against Bologna
- Pogba was brought on in the second half and was key in drawing Juve level
Paul Pogba returned to action for Juventus with an immediate contribution as the Old Lady drew 1-1 with Bologna in their Serie A clash on August 27.
The Frenchman has had a forgettable year as his return to Italy last summer was marred by injuries which have considerably restricted his game time.
After a gruelling recovery session, Pogba appears to have finally overcome a stubborn knee injury as Massimiliano Allegri named him on the bench for the Bologna clash.
The Bianconeri, despite being favourites to win the game, fell behind when Scotland midfielder, Lewis Ferguson, gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute.
With his side trailing, Allegri introduced Pogba in the second half to perhaps tilt the game in the home team’s favour - and it did not take long before the 2018 World Cup winner to make his mark.
As the BBC reports, the 30-year-old won the ball in the middle of the park, launching an attack by feeding the ball to Illing Junior down the flank. The winger crossed to Dusan Vlahovic, whose header found the back of the net.
Despite the equaliser, Juventus will be extremely disappointed not to have come out with all three points in a game they would have typically been expected to win at home.
Pogba comments after Juventus return
Speaking after the game, a rejuvenated Pogba expressed his hunger for the game as he revealed the manager's team talk at half-time.
"I am really happy to be back on the pitch, doing what I love," he told DAZN as cited by Football Italia.

FootballThe Frenchman said he wanted to help the team but was disappointed by the result.
"I think we should have won. The good thing is that we didn’t lose. We know we have to work hard and gain experience. We take one point home and we work for the next game."
When asked what Allegri said at half-time, Pogba revealed:
"To do what we knew: attack and play on the wings. That’s how we scored the equaliser. He said some of the things we had to change. We take this point and focus on the next match."
Juventus will hope to make amends when they come up against Empoli in an away game on September 3.
