City fans will consider themselves fortunate to have come out with all three points at Bramall Lane as they had to do it in the dying stages.
Haaland had the opportunity to give his side the lead in the first half from the penalty spot, but despite sending the goalkeeper the wrong way, his effort struck the post.
The Norwegian, however redeemed himself early in the second half as he rose highest to head a Jack Grealish cross home from close range.
The Blades thought they had salvaged a point when Jayden Bogle drilled in an effort in the 85th minute, but there was more drama to come as The Citizens, in the absence of their manager Pep Guardiola on the touchline, found the winner through Rodri’s cleanly struck effort moments later.
As cited on BBC, this was the first time Man City have won their opening three league games since the 2016/17 campaign, Guardiola’s first season in charge.
