FootballBruno Fernandes Reveals Who Is to Blame for Man United's Draw vs Everton
- Bruno Fernandes has taken issue with Man United's performance against Everton at Old Trafford
- United kicked off the clash on a positive note but a poor display in the second half saw them settle for a 1-1 draw
- Fernandes believes it is about time the team learns from their mistakes because "we cannot do this anymore"
- The Red Devils are set to play against Leicester City after the international break in mid-October
Bruno Fernandes has slammed his Man United teammates for their lacklustre performance during the side's 1-1 disappointing draw against Everton at Old Trafford.
United had a bright start during the Saturday, October 2, encounter and were ahead at the stroke of halftime courtesy of Anthony Martial's strike.
However, Everton levelled matters in the second-half following a quick counter-attack which Andros Townsend finished off with a fine strike that left David de Gea dazed.
Despite having loads of goalscoring chances in the early exchanges, the Red Devils failed to create clear cut opportunities in the second half.
Fernandes now believes he and his teammates were largely at fault for slacking in the second half thereby costing the side three crucial points.
"I think it’s really difficult for us, I think we played really well first half, created a lot of chances. In the second half we slowed it down again, once again we made that mistake," Fernandes said.
"We have to learn, the time is now because we cannot do this anymore. We did it so many times, we cannot slow down the game when we are winning," he added.
The result, meanwhile, meant that United have dropped points in two consecutive Premier League matches.
The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer-tutored side will now shift focus to their next Premier League clash against Leicester City after the international break.
