Marcus Rashford courted controversy on Saturday after appearing to strike a ball boy during the game against Nottingham Forest.
United did brilliantly to come from a 2-0 down to claim all three points against a determined Forest, who gave Erik Ten Hag’s men a real test.
Taiwo Awoniyi put the visitors ahead in the first two minutes, before Willy Boly doubled his side’s advantage thanks to some poor marking from United players.
The Red Devils halved the deficit before half time, with Christian Eriksen tapping home Rashford’s cross, and Casemiro made it 2-2 by bundling Bruno Fernandes’ effort into the net.
Fernandes then completed the comeback with a penalty in the 76th minute after Danilo was adjudged to have tripped Rashford.
Rashford hits ball boy
The game was not short of incidents, and none was more distinct that Rashford’s actions towards a ball boy.
The 25-year old forward cut a frustrated figure when the referee blew the whistle for a foul against Willy Boly, and he reacted by kicking the ball out of play at the touchline.
There just so happened to be a ball boy behind Rashford, and he was struck with the ball as a frustrated Rashford continued expressing his displeasure to the ref.
The incident led to some interesting reactions on social media, with sections of fans viciously criticizing the United attacker.
“Shameless from Rashford kicking the ball at the ball boy, if it was Ronaldo,” one fan said.
“Rashford nearly hitting the ball boy in frustration. Not even apologizing. All because he hasn't scored.” Another added.

Fortunately for Rashford, the chap showed brilliant reflexes as he parried the ball away with his hands.
Kai Havertz criticized
