Kylian Mbappe has knocked back Paris Saint-Germain’s latest contract offer in the latest twist surrounding the future of the 24-year-old forward at the French club.
An offer was put to Mbappe on Wednesday by the reigning Ligue 1 champions in the hope of getting the forward to commit to the club after being reinstated into the first-team last week.
According to GOAL, Mbappe snubbed the latest proposal put to him by PSG, but Real Madrid are waiting on a “green light” that would allow them to enter into talks for a player.
Carlo Ancelotti had previously ruled out a move being made for Mbappe in the current window after PSG put a world-record asking price on the 24-year-old forward.

FootballMbappe’s latest decision has backed PSG into a corner as the France international could leave the reigning Ligue 1 champions as a free agent when his current deal expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Meanwhile, France national team manager Didier Deschamps has insisted that he did not play a part in Kylian Mbappe being reintegrated in the Paris Saint-Germain first-team, 90MIN reports.
Mbappe was put up for sale by PSG this summer for refusing to extend his deal with the Parisians and was subsequently banished from first-team activities by the reigning French champions.
Mbappe would later be reintegrated into the PSG first-team after what the Ligue 1 giants described as "constructive and positive discussions" regarding the player's future.
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid will make a final attempt to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, just days after the forward was reintegrated into the Paris Saint-Germain first team.
