Cristiano Ronaldo might be 38 years old, but the Portugal forward is still in a rich vein of form after leading Al-Nassr to their first Arab Champions Cup title.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner joined Al-Nassr on the richest contract in the sport's history in January 2023, scoring 14 goals in 19 matches across all competitions in his first season.
Ronaldo already has six goals in six official appearances in the new 2023/24 campaign, emerging as top scorer in the Arab Club Champions Cup as he starts the new campaign in a rich vein of form, Sporting News reports.
The 38-year-old has now scored 25 goals already in 2023, equal with Europe’s top stars, such as Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe and Napoli superstar, Victor Osimhen.
Ronaldo is just five goals behind Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, who has scored a total of 30 goals for the Premier League club and is currently leading the scorers chart in 2023.
Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr begs for equality
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr has appealed for equality after Al-Hilal recently signed Neymar for a whopping $418 million, Sportskeeda reports.
Al-Nassr are currently unhappy with the allocation of funds between the four clubs that are backed by Saudi's Public Investment Fund (PIF), believing they are receiving the short end of the stick.
Al-Nassr's budget allocation reportedly began at $66 million and ended at $98 million after Cristiano Ronaldo's valuation was calculated, while the other three clubs were allocated $130 million.

The fixture, overshadowed by controversial refereeing, was eventually decided in the final 10 minutes courtesy of goals from Anderson Talisca, Sultan Al-Ghannam, and Marcelo Brozovic.
In the heat of the action, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner raised his hands after his teammate, Talisca, had put his team ahead in the 92nd minute of the game.
