Lionel Messi delivered another heartwarming moment in the United States after he was spotted consoling the son of compatriot, Luciano Acosta, following Inter Miami's victory over FC Cincinnati in the US Open Cup.

The Argentina legend produced a magical performance to lead Miami into the final of the Cup competition, with his two assists helping the Leagues Cup winners into a sensational comeback in the semi-final.

Messi and his Inter Miami teammates found themselves trailing 2-0 before the hour mark, after Cincinnati captain Acosta and Brandon Vazquez scored for the Eastern Conference leaders.

But Messi responded with his two perfectly delivered crosses finding striker Leonardo Campana to send the game into extra-time. Goalkeeper Drake Callender was again the hero of Miami during the penalty shootout after the match ended 3-3.

In a video shared on social media after the match, Messi met fellow Rosario-born player, Acosta, who was with his son. The Miami star after spotting the disappointment in Acosta's son, consoled the young fan.

Meanwhile, Messi could win his second trophy with Inter Miami in September, when they face the winner of the game between Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake in the final, as reported by ussoccer.com.
