According to Sky Sports, Varane penned a four-year contract at Old Trafford after his much-anticipated move.

While he still has an active contract at the club, he has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent days.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad, in what would be a sensational transfer that would see him link up with French teammates, N'Golo Kante and Karim Benzema.

Varane hints at United future

However, the 30-year-old has seemingly poured cold water on the rumours with a cryptic Instagram post.

TalkSPORT reports that the ex-Real Madrid defender took to Instagram to post a picture of him kissing the Man United badge, with a caption showing a heart and crossed swords.

Man United were quick to pick Varane's post and responded:

"One of us ❤️."

Varane has been a mainstay figure in the United squad since his arrival, with Ten Hag appearing to prefer him at the heart of his defence alongside Lisandro Martinez.

Man United stunned 3-0

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United's woes continued on Wednesday after they received a 3-0 hammering from Burnley in a behind-closed-doors friendly clash.

The Red Devils have endured a difficult start to the new season, with Erik ten Hag's charges finding it difficult to settle in.

On Wednesday, Ten Hag organised a friendly clash against Burnley, which was played behind closed doors.

The United boss is understood to have scheduled the match to offer him further insight into his squad.
