Ghana's hopes of winning a medal at the World Athletics Championships are fading away after 200-meter sprinter, James Dadzie, suffered an injury during the heat.
The national record holder pulled out halfway through the race in heat four, after appearing to be in discomfort and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
The extent of his injury is unknown but it seems his journey at the Championships in Budapest has prematurely ended.
In a video shared on social media, Dadzie is seen struggling after holding his groin before the medics rushed to take care of his situation.
Meanwhile, compatriot Joseph Amoah also failed to qualify for the second round of the 200m heat, after finishing fifth with a time of 20.56.

"I pray this is my last time in an ambulance. All the same, I’m forever grateful to God for everything. Be back stronger and better," he wrote on social media after the race.
Ghana's only hope of winning a medal remains in the 4x100m team.
