- He is one of the pacier players in the EPL but his style of running has always courted jokes
- Sterling can be heard in the viral clip asking why the children were running so awkwardly
Chelsea winger, Raheem Sterling, was left baffled after a group of school kids mocked his running style in a hilarious clip on social media.
The English winger has often been teased about his way of sprinting for years, despite the devastating effect he tends to have on defenders thanks to his pace.
Sterling's former teammate, Kyle Walker, also joined in the fun recently, while social media users have joked that Sterling runs like the famous character Velma from the classic kids show, Scooby-Doo.
It seems there is no end in sight to the jokes about Sterling’s running style and he appears to be embracing it - if a video shared on his Tiktok is anything to go by.
The Chelsea ace visited a school in England to show off a new set of school shoes he had apparently designed and while there, he decided to show off what he did best - football.
He did a close dribble drill and asked the children to replicate what he did but in a hilarious act of mockery, the pupils decided to imitate Sterling’s running style.
A stunned Sterling could only watch in disbelief and he asked a third person, who was presumably the kids’ teacher, if the children were mocking him.
As could be expected, the teacher backed his students by telling the Chelsea ace: "They’re just kids."
The video then shifts to one of the students, who declares that Sterling was quite small in real life. While the whole incident was obviously scripted, it certainly made for good comedy.

Formula 1Walker mocks Sterling's funny running style
As Daily Mail also reported, Walker once mocked Sterling's running technique as 'awful' when the two were teammates at Manchester City.
While he applauded the winger for his blistering pace and his skill on the ball, Walker was in stiches about how Sterling looked while on the go.
Sterling on Chelsea’s problems
Sports Brief also reported on Sterling’s take on Chelsea’s woes and how the team can improve after a winless run in their opening two Premier League games.
Speaking after the Blues game against West Ham United, the winger called on his teammates to be more ruthless in front of goal to avoid scenarios in future.
