Neymar: PSG Star Set to Undergo Medical Ahead of Blockbuster Move to Al Hilal
FootballPSG Veteran Set for Exit As Qatari Giants Enter Transfer Race
- Paris Saint-Germain’s mass exodus of top stars looks set to continue
- The Ligue 1 champions recently lost Neymar Jr. and a few midfielders
- Another midfielder could soon be on his way out of the French capital
Paris Saint Germain continue to shift their philosophy from the 'Galactico' model to the team-focused approach employed during the initial years of the Qatari takeover in 2011.
Since the appointment of Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, the French giants have listed a number of first-team regulars as surplus to requirements and - on multiple occasions - had them train away from the squad regarded as the club’s first team.
One star who became an unfortunate victim of this change in approach is midfielder, Marco Verratti.
The 30-year-old Italian is in his 11th season at the French club but has been told, according to a report by L'equipe, that he is no longer pivotal to the club's plans under Enrique.
The midfielder, who has so far seen transfer interest in him dwindle as the current window draws to a close, has become a subject of interest from the Middle East.
Qatari club wants PSG’s Verratti
According to reports from football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Al-Arabi in Qatar are interested in signing the midfielder and are set to submit an official bid to sign soon.
Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal, had courted Verratti for some time but their attempts to secure his services appear to be over due to the valuation set by the Ligue 1 champions.
Reports have also linked the 30-year-old with a move to Premier League club, Manchester United, who are in the market for a central midfielder to bolster the depth of their squad.
After making over 420 appearances for PSG, this would be a sad end to Verratti's time in the French capital.

In an explosive revelation, Donato Di Campli also alleged the Ligue 1 champions blocked his ex-client from joining Barcelona years earlier and his livelihood as a football agent was also threatened.
