Chelsea are not having the best opening to their Premier League season despite heavy investment into the squad this summer, with obvious cracks still existing in the team.

They picked up one point in their season's opening games against Liverpool and West Ham United and have become jokes on social media, with rival fans taking turns to troll them from different angles.

Sports Brief looks at six hilarious names rival fans have called the Blues this season.

1. Hijack FC

The Blues were involved in a transfer battle with Liverpool over the signing of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, which they won. It brought back the name 'Hijack FC', which was first used when Barcelona hijacked Jules Kounde and Raphinha last summer.

2. Loophole FC

Since Todd Boehly took over at Chelsea, they have exploited one loophole after the other. According to The Guardian, UEFA blocked the use of lengthy contracts to bypass financial fair play rules, but the club's absence from UEFA competitions this season allowed them to use the same tacticsin the league.

3. Crèche FC

The club's recruitment since Boehly became co-owner has been focused more on young players for the senior team and the youth teams, including Andrey Santos, Gabriel Slonina, and Angelo. According to Football Transfers, Santos forward, Deivid Washington, is next to be announced. This created the name 'Crèche FC' from rival fans due to the age range of the signings.

4. Travis Scott FC

Chelsea currently have 10 first-team players with plaits or dreads, including Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, and Malo Gusto. This warranted the name 'Travis Scott FC' due to the resemblance in hairstyles to the American rapper.

5. Rehabilitation/Injury FC

Carney Chukwuemeka became the latest Blues star to join the injury list after undergoing surgery for a knee injury he suffered against West Ham. A regular phrase the club uses is 'will now begin rehabilitation', resulting in the names 'Rehabilitation FC' or 'Injury FC'. Eight first-team stars are out injured, although Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja have resumed team training.

6. Statement FC

Footballers' use of social media has grown over the years. It is used to connect with fans and also post updates about their personal lives. The series of messages from Chelsea players after their opening two games have made rivals label the club 'Statement FC'.

Rival fans troll Caicedo

Sports Brief also reported on Moises Caicedo being subjected to trolling by rival fans after the British record transfer signing conceded a late penalty while his team was chasing an equaliser.

His cameo in the game was not impressive, albeit he is still settling into his new environment. However, that is a meal for rivals who showed no mercy for the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder.
