- However, Chelsea beat the North Londoners to the signing of Mudryk in the 11th hour
Chelsea winger, Mykhailo Mudryk, continues to have a rough time in the capital of London after Arsenal fans recently confronted him over his failed Emirates Stadium move.
The Ukrainian was on the verge of joining the Gunners during the January transfer window before the move collapsed.
Football London reported at the time that the North Londoners were inching closer to landing Mudryk after weeks of talks.
However, the move failed to materialise, with Chelsea ultimately beating Arsenal to the signing of the former Shakhtar Donetsk ace.
Mudryk's move to Stamford Bridge for £88.5 million came just days after he had indicated he would join Arsenal and it appears the bitter feelings still linger for fans.
Arsenal fans confront Mudryk
A section of Arsenal fans is seemingly yet to move on from the Mudryk transfer saga and recently confronted the winger over his failed move.
Sportbible reports that the Chelsea star was spotted in London after his side's 3-1 demolition by rivals, West Ham United.
Some Gunners fans approached the Ukrainian after spotting him in the driving seat of his car and asked him about the failed move.
Despite looking very uncomfortable, Mudryk did not say a word despite making eye contact with the group of fans, with his window rolled down.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old is yet to hit the ground running since he joined Chelsea and will be hoping to rediscover his from this season.
Mudryk handed number 10 shirt
Meanwhile, Sports Brief reported on Mudryk being handed Chelsea's number 10 jersey ahead of the new season during a series of number swaps after a mass exodus of players, coupled with several incoming signings.
Enzo Fernandez switched from 5 to 8, Benoit Badiashile switched from 4 to 5, and Moises Caicedo - whom many fans thought would take 4 - has chosen the number 25, last worn by the Blues' legend, Gianfranco Zola.
