Joshua Kimmich already knows the heir to the GOAT throne between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland as the era between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is set to come to an end.
Haaland and Mbappe have been touted as the next superstars of European football following their exploits for Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, respectively.
During a quickfire interview session, Kimmich was asked to pick between both strikers and the Bayern Munich captain did not hesitate to pick Mbappe ahead of Haaland.
Mbappe’s highest-scoring season was the 2021/22 campaign, where he scored 46 goals for PSG, while Haaland’s best campaign came in his debut season with Manchester City when he scored 52 goals in 53 games.
Both superstars have also received multiple individual awards, and both players have an outside chance of winning the 2023 Ballon d’Or award.
Mbappe waiting for Real Madrid
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is waiting for Real Madrid to send an official offer to Paris Saint-Germain as uncertainties surround the striker’s future at the Ligue 1 club, Madrid Universal reports.
Real Madrid are said to be preparing a €120million move for the 24-year-old forward, who has entered into the final months of his contract with PSG and could leave as a free agent in the summer.
Los Blancos have delayed the process in the hope of pushing PSG to accept a low bid as the Parisiens demanded in excess of €200 million, but Real Madrid refused to shell out such an amount for a player in the final season of his contract.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that amidst Kylian Mbappe’s contract debacle, teammate Lucas Hernandez has spoken about the importance of the forward to the current PSG squad.
