Iconic DJ and music producer Pierre David Guetta has paid a surprise visit to Spanish La Liga strugglers Celta Vigo.

The 55-year-old French music disc jockey may have hinted at his favourite La Liga team after he posed with the jersey of the Celta club's captain, Iago Aspas, which has since sparked talks of him being a fan of the Galicia club.

The award-winning DJ posed with the team’s shirt alongside the 36-year-old club captain in a photo shared with the caption ‘The king(s)’ by the club on its official Twitter account.

Celta Vigo and the Spanish La Liga have repeatedly shown that their fans transcend borders, with several music stars visiting various La Liga clubs. It started with Colombian Camila Camilo, Nigeria’s Rema, Daddy Yankee, Anitta and Fuerza Regida, and has now been seen with David Guetta.

Celta Vigo will need to show that they can repay the faith the music stars have placed in them by turning up the spark on their season.

The Galicia club has not had the best of starts to the 2023/24 season under new manager Rafael Benitez. The club’s plight has not been helped by the fact that European giants Napoli are on the prowl for the club’s brightest star, Gabri Viega, according to reports from Marca.

It should be recalled that the 21-year-old Celat academy product was responsible for the club avoiding relegation last season after he scored a crucial brace on the last day of the season to help his side secure a 2-1 win against Barcelona at the Abanca-Balaidos.
