- But it's Cristiano Ronaldo's performance that has sparked conversations among fans

Social media critics have labelled Cristiano Ronaldo 'finished' after he squandered a one-on-one chance in Al-Nassr's loss to Al Taawoun.
After leading his team to victory in the Arab Club Champions Cup the previous weekend, Ronaldo and his teammates have now faced consecutive defeats in the Saudi Pro League.
In a crunch tie on Monday, Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq managed a 2-1 win over Al Nassr, and on Friday, Al Taawoun also clinched a victory against them.
Leandre Tawamba grabbed the opener in the 20th minute, and the visiting team secured a triumphant three points in the final moments of stoppage time, courtesy of Ahmed Bahusayn's successful strike.
And Ronaldo struggled to leave an impact on the game. The Portugal icon missed a clear-cut chance shortly after the hour mark, before being ruled offside.
The Real Madrid legend found himself in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, attempting to manoeuvre around him, but faltered in his execution, resulting in the chance being nullified after the subsequent clearance.
If the 38-year-old had managed to score, it wouldn't have been valid due to his offside position. However, this fact didn't deter fans on social media from taunting the renowned forward.
