Leicester City were relegated to the English second-tier competition last season and have lost most of their valuable players, Daily Post reports.

Ndidi has just one year left on his contract, and the Foxes may be looking to cash in on the player.

Fans have also taken to social media, urging the German club to move for the 26-year-old, who has also been linked with Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.

One said:

“Honestly, it’s up to Bayern Munich to go for Ndidi. Bayern pattern of play fits Ndidi's pattern. I definitely know it’s a good combo.”

Another added:

“Wilfred Ndidi to Bayern Munich is a massive coup for Nigerian Football and for the Bavarian giant. He's a multitalented player for a multitalented team.
“He's such a midfield maestro and a great addition to the team.”

A fan wrote:

“Ndidi Is that player Bayern really need at the moment to sit up their games. Most Nigerians will start supporting Bayern once Ndidi gets signed to Bayern trust me.”

Ndidi’s market value decreases

Sports Brief earlier reported that Wilfred Ndidi's market transfer value has nosedived from €60m to €25m in just one year following the relegation of Leicester City from the Premier League at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Last year, Ndidi was rated as the most valuable Nigerian player, even ahead of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who is now fourth in the world following his impressive performances for the Serie A champions.

Ndidi suffered a drop in his transfer market value on four consecutive occasions in September and November 2022, as well as March and June 2023.
