Harry Kane believes that his prospects of securing the Ballon d'Or have been enhanced subsequent to his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich.
Having transferred from Spurs to Thomas Tuchel's team in a significant £100 million agreement, the English forward now becomes part of Bayern's lineup, a squad that recently clinched their 10th consecutive Bundesliga championship.
Regarded as strong contenders, the Bavarians are poised to vie for victory in the UEFA Champions League as well.
Kane has hinted at this possibility by elaborating on how his tenure at Bayern could enhance his chances of clinching a potential Ballon d'Or.
As asserted by the captain of the England national team, achieving European titles positions an individual as a contender.
He said via Sportskeeda:
"If you are winning your league and the Champions League, and obviously we as England have the European Championship next summer as well... as we've seen with the Ballon d'Or, you have to be winning team trophies to achieve that."
"If I'm scoring goals and we are winning trophies then that will come into question, but it is not really what my focus is on now."
Emerging as Bayern's most expensive player, Kane has an evident hunger to be successful. Despite not yet seizing the Ballon d'Or accolade in his professional journey, it is undeniably a prominent goal on his agenda.
Kane suffers Bayern debut defeat
Sports Brief also reported that Kane endured a losing debut with Bayern Munich on Saturday when his new team crashed to a 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup, just hours after the England skipper sealed a move from Tottenham.
Dani Olmo was the star of the show, producing a virtuoso performance and scoring a hat-trick in Munich as Kane's dream of clinching his first major silverware was shattered.
