The 2023/24 Bundesliga season is set to kick off today (August 18) with teams raring to challenge Bayern Munich for the title and the Bavarians keen to retain their crown.
Borussia Dortmund came close to clinching the title last season in what would have been their first since Jurgen Klopp guided them to triumph in 2011/12, but fell short on the final day after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Mainz.
However, Dortmund will have to try again without the immediate services of Gio Reyna, who remains injured after suffering a relapse of the calf injury he sustained in June, per a report by Goal.
Meanwhile, the attacker took time off from his recovery schedule to speak with the publication, with the 20-year-old trying his hands at a weird quiz.
Reyna responds to 'weird quiz'
The American international, who remains absent from the Dortmund squad with his return timetable still uncertain, responded to strange questions, per Goal's TikTok account.
Reyna’s amusing replies elicited laughter from some fans, while others found themselves perplexed by the unconventional nature of a question directed at the Bundesliga sensation.
He will surely be cheering his teammates to victory when they face off against Cologne in their season opener.
Given the void created by the departure of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid, Reyna will be eyeing an injury-free campaign and to cement a spot in Edin Terzic’s young team.
