Sekhukhune and Swallows were level at 1-1 in their DStv Premiership fixture when Swallows scored in the 94th minute of the game.

The goal was classified as an own goal by keeper Ali Sangare after he crossed his goal line with the ball in hand. The keeper crossed the line after he was pushed by Swallows’ striker Gabadinho Mhango.

The hugely controversial incident left Sekhukhune fans angry, and they pelted match officials with objects after they left the field.

Reflecting on the incident, Truter said he wanted action to be taken, much like how the FA punished officials in the Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers game, Sowetan LIVE reported.

"The officials' decision to give the goal, despite Mhango's push on Sangare is poor. We watched a game on Monday night, European game between Manchester United and Wolves, where the match officials got it wrong. The whole panel was suspended after that incident and here in SA we get away with decisions like that,” Truter said.
"I just hope SAFA takes action, don't leave it as it is because, like I say, in Europe those decisions get punished," he added.

Truter blames witchcraft for firing

Former AmaZulu FC coach Brandon Truter has laughed off his recent firing by the Durban-based club.

Truter became the fourth coach to find himself without a job after a string of poor results at the helm of the ambitious Usuthu.

The team had only won one of its last seven matches, having initially started off the season in spectacularly good form, Sports Brief reported.
