A UK-based columnist, Tom Collomosse, has stated that Manchester United will regret not signing Nigerian international Victor Osimhen this summer.
United managed a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their opening league game of the season, but they struggled in the attack.
The Red Devils had attempted to sign the Nigerian, but they could not meet Napoli’s asking price, and they also failed to sign Harry Kane, who eventually departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich.
The Old Trafford outfit eventually spent £ 72 million to bring in Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta as the Danish forward awaits international clearance.

FootballTom Collomosse believes United will continue to struggle and will eventually regret not making the move for Osimhen.
He said, via Punch:
“They (United) were toothless in front of goal against Gary O’Neil’s men, and if they have not resolved this problem when Hojlund returns, the pressure will be even greater.
“Anyone who watched Serie A last season knows Hojlund is a serious talent. He is a quick, strong, brave and technically excellent player who will eventually flourish in a top club.
“Either Osimhen or Kane would have been perfect. Osimhen is a complete No 9 with the personality to fire Napoli to only the third Serie A title in their history. They will regret not moving for him.
“Even if the price tags for Osimhen and Kane put them out of reach, there were still other options, like Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani.”

FootballSports Brief earlier reported that amid reports of Mason Greenwood returning to action with the first team, a section of Manchester United fans have protested against the striker.
The Englishman is said to be on the verge of a 'sensational return' to the Red Devils' main squad after an absence of over a year and a half.
Protesters were clear about their fury at Greenwood's potential return before the encounter, with one female fan holding an expletive-laden poster calling out the club for its apparent spineless attitude.
