Mamelodi Sundowns’ supporters are thrilled with their new signing, Lesiba Nku.

The Brazilians brought in the versatile midfielder from Marumo Gallants during the transfer window, and he didn’t take long to open his account with the side.

Lesiba Nku was named Man of the Match after scoring a brace for Mamelodi Sundowns.

As noted by Times LIVE, Nku scored twice for Masandwana as they beat Lamontville Golden Arrows 4-0.

It was Nku’s first game for the defending champions in the league, and he wasted no time in showing fans what they could expect with his brace.

Nku reaches Gallants’ goal tally

Ironically, Nku has now scored the same amount of goals as he did for Gallants in the league during his time at the side.

As noted by Transfermarkt, he made 31 appearances for Gallants, in which he scored five goals. Only two of those were scored in the DStv Premiership, while the other three came in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Masandawana love Lesiba Nku

After the game, the Sundowns players went to thank their fans for their support, as they always do, and it was Nku who received lots of love from the Masandawana faithful.

Chants of 'Nkuuu' could be heard ringing through the stadium as supporters appreciated the efforts of their new signing.

Sundowns welcome Costa with song

Lucas Ribeiro Costa is settling into South African culture quickly.

The Brazilian player signed for Mamelodi Sundowns during the current transfer window and has already slotted into the side with ease.

Not only did Costa already play his first DStv Premiership game for the side, but he also fits in well with the rest of the dressing room, Sports Brief reported.

Sundowns celebrate title with fans

Sports Brief earlier reported how Mamelodi Sundowns were officially crowned as the 2021/22 DStv Premiership champions.

Masandawana won the league title in April after a goalless draw with Cape Town City but had to wait until the last league game to get their hands on the trophy.

Following the victory, the team finally got to the moment they’d been waiting for, as they lifted the DStv Premiership trophy in front of their fans.
