Mamelodi Sundowns’ supporters are thrilled with their new signing, Lesiba Nku.
The Brazilians brought in the versatile midfielder from Marumo Gallants during the transfer window, and he didn’t take long to open his account with the side.
As noted by Times LIVE, Nku scored twice for Masandwana as they beat Lamontville Golden Arrows 4-0.
It was Nku’s first game for the defending champions in the league, and he wasted no time in showing fans what they could expect with his brace.
Nku reaches Gallants’ goal tally
Ironically, Nku has now scored the same amount of goals as he did for Gallants in the league during his time at the side.
As noted by Transfermarkt, he made 31 appearances for Gallants, in which he scored five goals. Only two of those were scored in the DStv Premiership, while the other three came in the CAF Confederations Cup.

After the game, the Sundowns players went to thank their fans for their support, as they always do, and it was Nku who received lots of love from the Masandawana faithful.

Sports Brief earlier reported how Mamelodi Sundowns were officially crowned as the 2021/22 DStv Premiership champions.
Masandawana won the league title in April after a goalless draw with Cape Town City but had to wait until the last league game to get their hands on the trophy.
Following the victory, the team finally got to the moment they’d been waiting for, as they lifted the DStv Premiership trophy in front of their fans.
