Former Manchester United striker, Odion Ighalo will continue his career in Saudi Arabia after sealing a move to Al Wehda.
The ex-Al Shabab forward signed a deal to join the Eagles after ending his stay with giants Al Hilal.
Ighalo becomes Al Wehda's first signing of the summer in a transfer window that has seen most of the clubs in Saudi Arabia very busy.
Al Wehda announced the arrival of the prolific forward in a video which has since gone viral on social media. In the post on Twitter, two young boys were playing a video game, with one selecting Ighalo for Al Wehda.
The experienced forward has been plying his trade in Saudi Arabia since 2021, where he has become a cult hero for Al Shabab and Al Hilal. In his spell for the two clubs, the Super Eagles striker has scored 52 goals in 71 appearances.
Before signing for Al Wehda, Al Tai were also interested in the signature of the 34-year-old, as reported by KingFut.com.
Ighalo immediately joined the rest of his teammates for training ahead of his debut.
Ighalo opens up on Saudi move
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo shared his insights into Cristiano Ronaldo's decision to join the Saudi Pro League.
The Nigerian footballer, who previously topped the scoring charts in the Saudi top flight, believes that Ronaldo's move to the Gulf State was predominantly influenced by financial incentives.
Despite Ronaldo expressing his aspirations in several interviews to elevate the Saudi league to the stature of major European competitions, Ighalo offers a contrasting viewpoint.

Nigerian international Odion Ighalo had a special time with widows and orphans at his palatial mansion in Lekki, Lagos.
The former Manchester United striker, who grew up in the Ajegunle area of Lagos, takes special care of his ‘Wazobia Widows’.
Ighalo, who recently left Saudi club Al Hilal, also owns an orphanage home located in the Ijegun area of the state.
