Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Chelsea could not resist the urge to aim a brutal dig at Liverpool after they beat the Reds to the signing of Moises Caicedo.
The former Brighton star was the subject of an intense transfer battle that pitted the two Premier League giants against each other, before the Blues won the race.
Chelsea had made Caicedo their primary transfer target and have been trying to seal a deal for his services all summer.
