Kylian Mbappe has been told extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain will have consequences after the forward was reintegrated into the club’s first team by the French club.

Real Madrid have courted Mbappe for two consecutive summers and the 24-year-old has declined their offer by deciding to remain with the Parisians.

According to GOAL, Real Madrid legend, Guti, has now informed Mbappe that if he decides to extend his contract with PSG, Los Blancos will be forced to move on to Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.

“I want Mbappe to play for Real Madrid. Real cannot afford the luxury of closing the door to such a player. But if Mbappe extends his contract with PSG, it will show that he is acting for the money. If that happens, Real Madrid will have to opt for Erling Haaland."

Real Madrid are willing to wait until 2024 for Mbappe when he will become a free agent when his contract with PSG expires, although the Parisians are confident the forward will extend his contract before then.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are not really troubled by the recent turn of events involving Kylian Mbappe and PSG after the forward decided to see out the remainder of his contract, Madrid Universal reports.

Mbappe was widely anticipated to leave PSG this summer after informing the Ligue 1 club that he does not intend to prolong his current contract, which runs until 2024.

Real Madrid officials have revealed that Mbappe is still a target for the summer of 2024, as they want to sign him when he becomes a free agent, which would not demand a high cost for his acquisition.
