- Mason Mount endured a difficult night on his EPL debut for Man United
- The ex-Chelsea star struggled through United's Premier League opener against Wolves
- He was subsequently replaced by Christian Eriksen in the 69th minute of the match
Stats from Mason Mount's Premier League debut for Manchester United have gone viral on social media.
Mount was part of United's squad that faced Wolves in their Premier League opener on Monday night at Old Trafford.
However, the former Chelsea midfielder had a night to forget after struggling through the match before he was subbed off in the second half.
The 24-year-old started the match in the middle of the park alongside Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes but struggled to make an impression, per Sportbible.
While the whole of the United squad was below par by their standards, it was Mount who found himself on the receiving end for his underwhelming performance.
Mount's stats from Man United debut
The Englishman's stats from his woeful EPL debut for the Red Devils have since emerged, leaving everyone stunned.
As per talkSPORT, the Chelsea academy graduate claimed zero goals, zero assists, created zero chances, made zero crosses, won zero tackles and won zero aerial duals during his entire time on the pitch.
His poor display contributed heavily to United being overpowered in midfield by Matheus Nunes and Matheus Cunha.
Mount was subsequently subbed off in the 69th minute, with Christian Eriksen replacing him.
Despite their lethargic performance, the Red Devils went on to secure a 1-0 vital win, thanks to Raphael Varane's header.
United told they are not title contenders
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Gary Neville has claimed it is unrealistic to refer to Manchester United as title contenders in a brutal assessment on Monday Night Football.
Neville’s sentiments came at the back of United’s narrow 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in a game that could have gone either way at Old Trafford.
Arguably, United were second best, particularly in the second half, and it took only a moment of brilliance for Raphael Varane to break the deadlock, 14 minutes from time.
