  • Neymar liked an Instagram post that talked about Kylian Mbappe's demands to stay at PSG
  • It was reported Kylian Mbappe does not want his teammate Neymar at PSG
  • Neymar is on his way out of PSG with a mind-boggling offer from Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal

Brazilian forward Neymar reportedly liked a post on Instagram that reveals some problems between him and Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe behind the scenes.

Neymar has reportedly agreed on a two-year deal to join Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

According to Sky Sports, the 31-year-old is now set to embark on the next chapter of his career as he undergoes a medical with Al Hilal.

The transfer will mark the end of Neymar's six-year tenure at PSG, during which he was unable to secure the coveted Champions League trophy or the desired Ballon d'Or accolade he had hoped for upon his arrival at Parc des Princes.

Injuries have significantly hampered his playing time in recent years, with only 20 Ligue 1 appearances in the last season.

However, when in full fitness, Neymar's skill and prowess remain evident, as he played a direct role in 24 goals over those matches.

He is now set to move on - just as Mbappe has been restored to first-team training at PSG.

Neymar 'likes' post about Mbappe

Mbappe had been excluded from regular participation in first-team training with the Parisian club due to the prolonged uncertainty surrounding his future, compounded by his contractual arrangement set to conclude the following summer.

However, after PSG's 0-0 draw against Lorient this Saturday, an official declaration was made regarding Mbappe's "reintegration" into the squad.

A PSG statement read:

"Following very constructive and positive talks between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player has been reintegrated into first team training this [Sunday] morning."

And before it was reported that Neymar was on his way to Al Hilal, an Instagram page, @fiqueiputomesmo, carried a report from French outlet L'Equipe, which claimed Mbappe had told PSG last summer that there was 'no more room' for him and Neymar in the squad.

The post was subsequently 'liked' by Neymar's official Instagram account, with the 'like' still remaining on the post at the time of writing.

Neymar, Mbappe relationship

In September, reporters inquired of Neymar regarding his rapport with Mbappe following an international friendly featuring Brazil. However, Neymar opted against responding to the query, L'Equipe reported.

In the month of February, Mbappe refuted allegations that he had voiced negative comments about Neymar during an interview conducted with the French broadcaster Canal+.

Al Hilal launched a world-record £259 million bid for the France forward before their pursuit of Neymar.

However, as per sources to ESPN, Mbappe refused the chance to speak directly with club representatives when they arrived in Paris to negotiate a separate transfer.

Comparing Neymar’s wages to Ronaldo’s

Sports Brief earlier compared Neymar's wages to Ronaldo's for Al-Nassr. The Brazilian star will reportedly make €160 million in the two-year deal but this is still low compared to the Portuguese veteran.

Ronaldo was tempted to the Saudi Pro League after officially severing connections with Manchester United ahead of the 2022 World Cup, thanks in no small part to an extraordinary offer of £177.1mil a year.
