Mason Mount was the biggest talking point from the first half of Manchester United's Premier League clash against Wolves.

United kicked off their 2023/24 campaign on Monday night, August 14, against Wolves at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag naming a strong team for the encounter.

The match saw Mount and Andre Onana, who recently joined the Red Devils, make their Premier League debuts for the club.

However, Mount was unable to make an impression in the first 45 minutes of the tie, with a specific incident that saw him lose the ball going viral.

A video doing rounds on social media shows the former Chelsea midfielder's attempt to dribble past two Wolves players fail.

The Englishman had just received the ball from a teammate and was racing towards the wing before he was manned by the two Wolves players.

The Chelsea academy graduate went on to attempt a dribble past the duo before falling to the ground and losing possession.

Rival fans were quick to pick up on the embarrassing incident and took to social media to mock the England international.

The England international officially joined the Red Devils on Wednesday, July 5, ending days weeks of speculation that surrounded his Stamford Bridge future.

Mount's move to Old Trafford came just hours after he posted an emotional video on Instagram announcing he will be quitting Chelsea this summer.

His decision to swap Chelsea for Man United came as a surprise to many, with the midfielder regarded as a Blue through and through.
