Ousmane Dembele sent fans into a mix of emotions after completing his transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona supporters found themselves lamenting the departure of their standout forward, while PSG fans, in contrast, were elated following the club’s official announcement of the forward.
Adding to the excitement, Dembele recently heightened fans' enthusiasm through an interview with the French outlet Media Parisien.
In the interview, the 26-year-old unveiled an intriguing aspect of his personality by discussing a superhero ability he has long admired.
Dembele on favourite superhero power
The French World Cup winner is known for his pace amongst a plethora of other talents, and appears to relish speed as he revealed he would love to have the superhero ability to teleport.
The teleporting ability draws parallels with the abilities of Marvel's superhero Nightcrawler from the X-Men series. While Dembele might not possess real-life teleportation skills, his electrifying speed often seems overwhelming for opposing defenders to contend with.
Dembele will be looking to light up the Ligue 1 with his skills and the forward looks to have gotten a boost, with Le Monde reporting that his favourite partner and friend Kylian Mbappe has been restored into the plans of coach Luis Enrique.
Dembele has been training with the first team of PSG and is tipped to make his debut against league strugglers Toulouse on Saturday.
The forward will hope that he, alongside Mbappe and PSG’s host of attacking signings, can guide the Ligue 1 giants to a much-coveted UEFA Champions League triumph.
