Throughout the summer, Mbappe and PSG have been embroiled in a standoff after he formally communicated his intention not to extend his existing contract beyond this season, per Football Espana.

This decision provoked the ire of the club's top leadership, leading to his suspension from the first-team squad.

Consequently, he missed the club's pre-season preparations and their Ligue 1 opener against FC Lorient, which concluded in a goalless draw.

Interestingly, on the previous Saturday, Kylian was spotted alongside new signing Ousmane Dembele, igniting speculation that the arrival of the former Barcelona star might prompt a reevaluation.

The 2018 World Cup winner warmly greeted Dembele upon his arrival in Paris, stating, "the adventure begins."
