FootballDetails Emerge on How Arsenal Wore Wrong Kit vs Nottingham Forest
- Arsenal kicked off their new Premier League season against Nottingham Forest
- The match saw the Gunners sport their new kit for the new campaign
- The kit has been designed in tribute to Arsenal's Invincibles team from 2004
It has now emerged that Arsenal wore the wrong kit during their Premier League opener on Saturday, August 12.
The Gunners kicked off their title bid with an encounter against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta's charges were in good shape during the tie as they secured a 2-1 encouraging win, thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka.
The match saw new signings Jurrien Timber, Kai Havertz, and Declan Rice don the Gunners' kit for the first time in a Premier League fixture.
However, it has now emerged that the kit worn by the north Londoners actually had a massive blunder on it, per Sportbible.
Error spotted on new Arsenal kit
It is understood that Arsenal’s new home shirt has since been recalled by manufacturers Adidas due to the error.
The new shirt was supposed to be a tribute to the Gunners’ famous Invincibles side that went unbeaten in the Premier League in 2004.
As such, the shirt was to be stitched on the side with all 38 games during that unbeatable season.
However, a handful of those games were missing on the shirt after production, with the last four matches of that historic 2004/04 campaign said to have been left out.
The matches include draws with Portsmouth and Birmingham, along with a further two matches from earlier in the season.
According to The Sun, this massive blunder led to both Arsenal and Adidas being forced to take the kits off the market.
It remains unclear when the error will be amended.

FootballTimber hobbles off
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal fans have been sent into a panic after new signing Jurrien Timber hobbled off with an injury on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, August 12.
Timber is among four major signings the Gunners made this summer in a bid to challenge Manchester City for the crown this season.
The Dutchman had initially been linked with a move to Old Trafford, only for him to link up with Mikel Arteta at the Emirates Stadium.
