  • Harry Kane finally pulled the plug on Tottenham Hotspur to join Bayern Munich
  • His exit sees the Premier League lose one of the best strikers in recent times
  • We take a look at those who stand to win and lose following the move

Harry Kane sealed his move to Bayern Munich after a month of frenzied speculations and rejected bids. Tottenham Hotspur CEO Daniel Levy finally caved in after an offer of an excess of 100 million euros came through for the talismanic striker.

Less than 24 hours later, Kane began his new life in Bavaria, coming off the bench in their heavy 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

Kane's departure from England sees the Premier League lose one of the most prolific strikers ever to grace the league. And as Sports Brief delves into it, a couple of people will be rejoicing at this transfer, as others remain sullen.

Winners

1. Harry Kane

The only currency known in football, or any other sport for that matter, is trophies. At 30 years, Kane is yet to win a single trophy despite his numerous goals.

Forget the Super Cup capitulation, at Bayern Munich, he will have the chance to win silverware under Thomas Tuchel. The Bundesliga title is almost always a given for the Bayern Munich. With his addition, the side are also firm Champions League favourites.

2. Richarlison

The Brazilian is set to be the biggest beneficiary in North London, given that he will be the club's new go-to striker. Richarlison struggled for game time in his maiden season.

Antonio Conte failed to find a formation that could accommodate him, Kane and Heung-min Son in the same line-up. With Kane's exit, the former Everton star will be Son's new partner.

3. Bayern Munich

It goes without saying that getting the best striker in Europe is a big plus for any team. A couple of heavyweights wanted the Three Lions captain on their roster, but it was the six-time European champions who landed him.

With the likes of Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich playing behind Kane and feeding him, the club's fans can look forward to exciting times- especially in Europe's top club competition.

4. Daniel Levy

Of course, any owner would be sad to see a striker of Kane's quality leave, but let's face it - getting 100 million euros plus for a striker who only had one year left on his contract with no intention whatsoever of renewing it is good business.

Losers

1. Ange Postecoglou

The new Tottenham boss has been planning for the new season with Kane firmly in those plans. To lose Kane just a few days to your first Premier League opener and with no proper replacement lined up is a huge blow, whatever way you look at it.

Kane scored almost 43% of Tottenham's Premier League goals last season. The Greek manager will have to find a way to bridge that gap.

2. Bundesliga and Champions League teams

As if defending against Musiala, Muller, Sane and Gnabry wasn't tasking enough, these clubs will now have to contend with the menace that is Kane.

The England star can drop deep to create and is also one of the deadliest finishers in modern-day football. All the best to Bochum, Heidenheim and company.

3. Premier League

In a time when Saudi Arabia is actively competing for and attracting top talents, no sane league would want to lose a prized asset like Kane to another league. The fact that he is the national team captain makes it even worse.

Luckily for the Premier League, there are still a couple of world-beating stars within its teams. Erling Haaland, for instance, looks like he is just getting started despite hitting 36 goals in his first season.

4. Son Heung-min

No Premier League duo had more goal combinations than Kane and Son. The newly-appointed Spurs skipper will now have to find a new partner with whom he can forge the chemistry he shared with Kane.

James Maddison and Richarlison look like good places to start, but it might take a while.

How Kane was welcomed at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich's marquee signing of the summer transfer window, Harry Kane, was warmly welcomed as he arrived at the club's Sabener Strasse training grounds following his high-profile transfer.

The Bundesliga champions invested a staggering £100 million to secure the services of the all-time leading scorer at Tottenham.

An endearing video making its rounds on the X app, previously known as Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, depicts the instance when Kane dashed through a corridor of teammates forming an honour guard.
