The 38-year-old's exceptional goal-scoring aptitude not only secured Al-Nassr's first triumph in the regional competition but also marked his initial piece of silverware since his move to Saudi Arabia.

Having initiated the trend for a multitude of high-profile stars to join him in the Gulf country through a lucrative agreement with the Riyadh-based club in January, the Portuguese maestro set the precedent.

While his inaugural season concluded on a disappointing note, with Al-Nassr missing out on the Saudi Pro League, the Saudi Super Cup, and the Kings Cup, CR7 has commenced the new campaign on a triumphant note.

His double strike overshadowed Michael's goal shortly after halftime, culminating in a 2-1 comeback victory after extra time for Al-Nassr, MARCA reports.

How Ronaldo inspired Al-Nassr to success

Cristiano Ronaldo singlehandedly won the Arab Cup for Al Nassr after netting a brace in the final to inspire his team to a comeback victory over Al Hilal.

Al Hilal took an early second-half lead and were cruising to victory when the Portuguese superstar showed up with a moment of brilliance in the final 15 minutes.

The 38-year-old latched onto Al Ghanan's cross from the right to level the score with Al Nassr a man down following the red card to Abdulelah Alamri four minutes earlier.

Eight minutes into extra time, Ronaldo headed home from a Sekou Fofana curler which hit the crossbar.

Sports Brief also reported that football fans have taken to social media to laud Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese icon notched his fifth consecutive goal for Al-Nassr in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

The 38-year-ol capitalised on an exquisite right-sided delivery from Al Ghanam, swiftly equalizing after Al Hilal's Michael had taken the lead in the second half.
