Mohammed Kudus might be on his way out of Ajax but his relationship with fans of the club remains strong following his outstanding performances for the Dutch giants.

In recent weeks, the 23-year-old has dominated the headlines after it emerged that Brighton have agreed a deal to sign the talented midfielder.

Despite reports of him leaving in the summer transfer window, the Ghana international was present on Opening Day as Ajax players were presented to the fans ahead of the start of the new season.

In a heartwarming video shared on social media, Kudus left a young fan with a priceless reaction after gifting him one of the balls for the occasion.

The moment has since gone viral, with fans of the former Eredivisie champions hoping he stays.

Meanwhile, Ajax coach Maurice Steijn has confirmed the Right to Dream Academy graduate will be available for the league opener against Heracles, but unsure if he will stay until the window closes.

"Mohammed Kudus can play tomorrow. There are many things happening around him, but nothing concrete happened in the end. I'm very happy that he's with us tomorrow," Steijn stated, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.com.

Brighton set to sign Kudus

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Brighton and Hove Albion have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is closing in on a dream move to the English Premier League from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.

Kudus is expected to sign a deal worth around €40million, which will make him Brighton's record signing, surpassing the amount paid for Joao Pedro.

Hughton reacts to Kudus EPL interest

Ghana's national coach, Chris Hughton, has stated he is not surprised by the number of clubs showing interest in midfielder, Mohammed Kudus.

The Ajax star has reportedly been on the radar of several teams in England, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Brighton and Hove Albion have also shown interest in the versatile attacking midfielder, who can also play as a forward.
