Harry Kane officially completed his transfer to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspurs in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The England captain could now be in line to win his first career trophy and first with the German Bundesliga side this evening.
This comes following reports from Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg stating the former Tottenham forward could be in line to make his debut in the German Super Cup final against RB Leipzig.
Kane’s decision to leave Tottenham was based solely on the club’s ability to secure a trophy despite the forward’s goal-scoring prowess.
The forward in his letter to his new fans also shared his excitement to join the Bavarians and hopes to take part in this evening’s encounter at the Allianz Arena.
Kane’s emotional message to Tottenham
With both clubs having agreed to a transfer fee in excess of ₤110 million, the England captain wasted little time sending his farewell message to fans of his old club.
Sending a message to Tottenham fans on Instagram, the forward said:
“Hi everyone, I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I’ll be leaving the club today.
“Obviously a lot of emotions going through me right now and sad to be leaving the club I’ve spent nearly 20 years of my life at since I was an 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man now, there’s been so many great moments and special memories, memories that I will cherish forever.
“So this is a thank you to all my teammates over the years, all the coaches, managers, every single staff member to do with the club from the kit man to the chefs everyone involved.”

Football“Obviously I’ve built special relationships with a lot of people and most importantly a thank you to the Tottenham fans, from the moment I’ve been playing I’ve been one of your own and I’ve given everything that I possibly could to make you proud and give you as many special moments and memories to hopefully last forever.”
Kane who will be earning a salary in the region of £415,000-a-week will wear the no. 9 jersey at his new club and will look to fit into the demands of the club seamlessly.
Harry Kane given odd advice
Meanwhile, ex-England striker Michael Owen’s transfer advice to Kane has come back to bite him as fans pointed out an interesting contradiction, as Sports Brief earlier reported.
Tottenham have reportedly finally budged on their Harry Kane stance as the club reportedly accepted a £86.4m from the Bavarians for the 30-year-old striker.
Moments after The Athletic reported a deal in principle had been agreed between the two clubs, Owen took to social media platform X to offer some advice to Kane as he subtly dug at the Bundesliga in the process.
