Ghana forward, Jordan Ayew is eager to get going in the new English Premier League season, as Crystal Palace take a trip to the Bramall Lane to face returnees Sheffield United.
The 31-year-old remains one of the most experienced players in the Palace team following the departure of Wilfried Zaha in the summer transfer window.
Ayew has been preparing for the new campaign with the rest of his teammates following a pre-season tour of the United States.
And ahead of the Eagles' league opener, Ayew has stated that the South London club will have to continue from where they left off last season.

Meanwhile, the former Swansea City player believes the game against Sheffield will be a tough one, but hopes Palace can get the best possible start.
“[Sheffield United away] is one of those games where you know the opponent will come out strongly. It’s going to be a very difficult game, but we just need to believe in our ability," he said.

The former Olympique Marseille forward has few years left to play at the highest level of European football and he is already considering returning home.
